Description
Krug Rosé 27ème Édition is a Rosé Champagne that combines elegance and audacity. This Édition Echoes, as described by Chef de Cave Julie Cavil, is an assembly of 38 wines, or "musicians", from 9 different vintages, with the most recent being 2015 and the oldest being 2005. This edition stands out for its its liveliness, breadth and boldness, enriched by a free and unexpected element, reflecting the composition "Joseph's Theme: Freedom Variation".
The 27ème Édition of Krug Rosé is a work of oenological art that includes reserve wines from the House's extensive collection, making up 55% of the blend. The winemaking and aging process of approximately seven years in the Krug cellars gives this champagne a unique character, testifying to the craftsmanship and attention to detail in its creation.
On the nose, the Krug Rosé 27ème Édition opens with aromas of dog rose, cured ham, blackberries, red currants, peony, pepper and pink grapefruit. On the palate, it offers delicate notes of honey, citrus and dried fruit, with a persistent finish enlivened by a very fine bubble. This combination of aromas and flavors makes every sip an unforgettable experience.
As for food and wine pairings, this champagne goes perfectly with dishes with a strong flavour. It is ideal with foie gras, lamb, white meats, game, game or spicy dishes. Surprisingly versatile, it can also be paired with desserts that are not excessively sweet.
