Le Bout du Clos is a lieu-dit that reflects the philosophy of Anselme Selosse, where the terroir is the true protagonist. Produced entirely from Pinot Noir Grand Cru from Ambonnay, this non-vintage Champagne captures the essence of the terroir thanks to the perpetual reserve method. Its creamy texture and voluptuous notes tell a story of layering and depth, making it a wine as complex as it is irresistible.

Description

Le Bout du Clos by Jacques Selosse is a Champagne Extra Brut Grand Cru produced in the lieu-dit of the same name in Ambonnay, one of the most renowned areas of Champagne. Made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes, this non-vintage wine represents an authentic expression of the terroir and the philosophy of the producer, who favors the identity of the vineyard as the main determinant of the quality of the wine.

The wine is made using the perpetual reserve method, where wines from previous vintages are blended with more recent ones, giving the wine a unique depth and complexity. The winemaking process involves fermentation in oak barrels and a long aging on the lees, which contribute to its creamy texture and layered character.

On the nose it opens with aromas of buttery puff pastry, orange oil, pear and sweet spices, while on the palate it reveals itself to be medium-full bodied, soft and enveloping. The mousse is fine and precise, accompanied by a generous fruity core and a long and saline finish that enhances the minerality of the terroir.

Perfect when paired with shellfish dishes, seafood risottos and mature cheeses.
