Description
The Champagne Extra Brut Rosé by Meunier Laherte Frères is a refined expression of the Champagne area, precisely in Chavot. Produced exclusively from Pinot Meunier grapes, this champagne draws its uniqueness from the limestone and clay soils along the Marne, south of Épernay and in the Côte des Blancs. The conversion to biodynamic agriculture, undertaken by the company, has made it possible to ensure superior quality grapes in perfect harmony with nature, which reflect the winery's careful and sustainable production philosophy.
The harvest, strictly manual when the grapes have reached complete ripeness, is a prelude to a complex winemaking process that respects the fruit. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in tanks, foudres and barrels. Refinement on fine yeasts and manual disgorgement complete the process, with the use of reserve wines aged in barriques for 40% of the blend.
Visually, it presents itself with a bright pink color. On the nose, notes of orange peel, berries, blueberry, chalk and mint emerge, testifying to the complexity and elegance of the terroir of origin. On the palate, it is full, deep and juicy, characterized by a beautiful liveliness and balance.
This Champagne is particularly suitable for accompanying fish starters, raw seafood and seafood, but also first and second courses based on fish, enhancing the freshness and complexity of the flavours.
