Description
The Champagne Extra Brut 1er Cru Roc Solare from the Dhondt-Grellet maison is an exclusive blend dominated by bunches of Chardonnay, enriched with small additions of Pinot Noir. This champagne comes from carefully selected plots of the Côte de Sezannais, cultivated with approximately 40-year-old vines of age, which contribute to exceptional complexity and depth.
The manual harvest is followed by fermentation in steel and oak barrels for 8 months. Subsequently, the wine is blended with reserve wines and undertakes a refermentation in the bottle according to the Champenoise method. It will refine for 25 months on its own yeasts.
It is characterized by its straw yellow color and a fine and persistent perlage. On the nose, aromas of apple, citrus fruit and hazelnut emerge. The taste is dry and creamy with a notable freshness that pervades the palate, culminating in a clean and balanced sensory experience.
This champagne is particularly suitable as an elegant aperitif, capable of opening an evening in style, served alone or in the company of light appetizers.
