The Grand Cru "Les Chemins d'Avize" by Larmandier-Bernier is a tribute to the exceptional terroir of Avize, in the heart of the Côte des Blancs. Here, the chalky soils enhance the purity of the Chardonnay, giving the wine a sharp minerality and an innate elegance. Fruit of a late harvest and vinification in wood, this Champagne reveals a muscular and vinous structure, with notes of citrus and toasted almonds. A sensory experience that celebrates the craftsmanship of the Larmandier family and the true essence of the terroir. A masterpiece for those who desire a Champagne of great depth and complexity.

Description

Champagne Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Les Chemins d'Avize from the Maison Larmandier-Bernier comes from two ancient vineyards located in the heart of Avize and is composed of Chardonnay grapes coming only from this Grand Cru. From a soil rich in chalk, vines over 60 years old produce wines with delicate floral notes characterized by a unique minerality.

The grapes are subjected to soft pressing and once the must reaches the barrel, fermentation can occur spontaneously with the use of indigenous yeasts. Then the base wine always ages in oak for about 11 months. Subsequently, the second fermentation begins in the bottle with aging on its own yeasts for at least 6 years.

Characterized by a straw yellow color and a fine and persistent perlage, it opens to the nose with scents of lemon, verbena and vanilla. Medium-bodied and with a soft taste, it offers a concentrated and compact profile destined to delight every palate.

Perfect to accompany a refined dish based on shellfish, lobster above all. Also excellent in combination with fish and seafood.
