Description
The Chemin de Reims Blanc de Blancs Extra Brut by Chartogne Taillet is a Champagne produced exclusively from Chardonnay grapes from vineyards located in the village of Merfy, on the southern slope of the Saint-Thierry Massif, north-west of Reims. This Champagne is the result of cultivation that deeply respects the environment, nature, ecosystem and biodiversity, with soil processing carried out through the exclusive use of horses to avoid soil compaction.
A meticulous winemaking process follows with the use of indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks and a second fermentation in the bottle according to the Champenoise Method. After refermentation, the wine matures for 36 months on the yeasts, ensuring optimal complexity and maturation.
Visually it stands out for its intense straw yellow color. The olfactory profile is richly fruity, with evident hints of pastry, milk and vanilla that blend harmoniously. On the palate, it is fresh and mineral, accompanied by delicate floral and herbaceous notes that make the tasting lively and satisfying.
This Champagne is ideal as an aperitif and pairs beautifully with refined fish-based dishes and seafood crudités, enhancing the freshness and complexity of the wine. An excellent option for special moments or for a toast.
