Summary
Description
The Champagne Brut Nature 1er Cru Nature de Craie produced in the prestigious Champagne region, precisely in Chavot, is an expression of the Chardonnay grape. This sparkling wine originates from vineyards located on the southern slopes of Épernay and in the Côte des Blancs and along the Marne valley. Here, the chalk emerges directly from the earth, emphasizing the Chardonnay grapes.
The harvest, carried out manually at the peak of ripeness, follows a careful selection of the best juices, which are transferred to the barrels using gravity, without the addition of sulphites, to preserve the natural expression of the terroir. The alcoholic fermentation takes place in barriques with little bâtonnage, followed by malolactic fermentation. The refinement on fine yeasts and manual disgorgement, without dosage, give this champagne a pure and authentic character.
It has a bright straw yellow color. The nose is mineral, floral and fruity with citrus notes. On the palate, it is structured, savory, rich and lively. An aromatic palette that reflects the essence of its terroir.
Perfect as an aperitif but goes beautifully with fish and shellfish dishes, as well as white meats. It is an ideal companion for special occasions, thanks to its ability to enhance flavors and elegantly accompany the meal.
