Description
Champagne Cuvèe Saint-Pétersbourg is dedicated to the audacity of Madame Clicquot, widow Ponsardin, who despite the continental blockade of 1814 which immobilized Europe, managed to deliver her champagne to Saint Petersburg. After this event, the Russian nobility considered Cuvèe Saint-Pétersbourg one of the best bubbles in the world.
It is produced with a predominance of Pinot Noir, which gives it a strong character, while Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier, give it softness and elegance.
Saint-Pétersbourg is characterized by an intense straw yellow color, with golden reflections and very fine bubbles. The nose opens with a bouquet of ripe fruits, enriched by elegant aromas of brioche, crunchy almonds and sweet spicy notes. On the palate it is pleasantly round, with a perfect balance between softness, acidity and flavor.
Perfect to accompany aperitifs, dishes based on fish, shellfish and seafood, it is ideal in combination with first courses, vegetables and aged cheeses.
