Description
The Champagne Blanc de Blancs Brut Rare Collection is produced by the Maison Champagne Barons de Rothschild, founded in 2005 from the union between the three branches of the noble family (Château Mouton Rothschild, Château Clarke, Château Lafite Rothschild). It consists of Chardonnay grapes from 4 Grands crus from the Côte des Blancs: Avize, Cramant, Oger, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger.
The grapes are fermented in small stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature, followed by malolactic fermentation. The wine ages on the fine lees for 9 months. This is followed by the sparkling process according to the champenoise method and aging on the lees for at least 8 years.
The Champagne has a pale pink color, with a fine and abundant perlage. On the nose there are hints of white pulp fruit, candied lemon and notes of roasting and dried fruit, vanilla and mocha. On the palate it is fresh and ample, with a silky texture and a citrusy and persistent finish.
Excellent in combination with white fish, white and red meats.
