Description
The Champagne Minière F&R Blanc Absolu is obtained from 100% Chardonnay grapes, of which 20% are reserve wines, coming from the Les Grands Blancs vineyards.
The winemaking includes the use of 40% new oak barrels less than 4 years old and 60% barrels more than 4 years old, without carrying out malolactic fermentation. The wine matures for 6 years on the yeasts in the bottle, with a dosage of 6 grams per liter and a dégorgement which takes place at least 6 months before marketing. This long period of refinement gives the wine remarkable complexity and depth.
On the nose, Champagne Blanc Absolu presents a notable minerality with a powerful and complex bouquet. In the mouth, the structure is straight and long, with a pleasant acidity reminiscent of citrus fruits and a more mineral and chalky finish.
It pairs perfectly with seafood dishes, oysters and mature cheeses.
