Description
Louis Jadot's Chambolle-Musigny Les Fuées Premier Cru was born north of Vougeot and south of Morey Saint-Denis, in a prestigious although small area. This terroir stands out for its calcareous soils on a rocky substrate that stresses the vines, offering an ideal location near the Bonnes Mares Grand Cru with an eastern exposure.
The winemaking involves destemmed grapes that ferment in tanks for 3-4 weeks, followed by aging for 18 months in oak barriques. This process gives the wine remarkable structure and complexity.
Ruby red in color, it displays delicate notes of red fruits such as cherries and wild strawberries on the nose, intertwined with hints of rose, violet and a light spiciness. On the palate, it stands out for its elegance and finesse, with silky tannins and an aromatic persistence that reflects its complexity, evolving towards a long and mineral finish.
This wine pairs beautifully with refined dishes such as beef fillet, duck a l'orange or porcini mushroom dishes. Its structure and the balance between acidity and fruit also make it suitable to accompany soft and mature cheeses.
