Description
Louis Jadot's Chambolle Musigny comes from the renowned Côte de Nuits region, in Burgundy, characterized by calcareous soils with the presence of gravel and pebbles, which give the wine a fine and elegant structure. This area is known for its 24 Premiers Crus and 2 Grands Crus, with east/south-east facing vineyards at an altitude of 250-350 meters above sea level.
Winemaking involves destemming the grapes, followed by maceration in open tanks for 4 weeks. Subsequently the wine matures in oak barriques for 18 months, harmoniously balancing the flavors and adding complexity to the aromatic profile.
Characterized by a ruby red colour, it reveals a rich and complex bouquet to the nose, dominated by red fruits such as cherry and strawberry, combined with delicate floral notes and a light minerality. This elegance is then transferred to the palate, where the finesse of the wine is confirmed, with a silky texture given by the well-integrated tannins and a persistent freshness that prepares for a long and harmonious finish.
It pairs perfectly with delicate red meats, mushroom dishes and medium-aged cheeses.
