Description
Domaine de la Pousse d'Or's Chambolle-Musigni 1er Cru Les Feusselottes comes from a unique location in Chambolle-Musigny, located between the village and Les Charmes. This area, known for its shallow, limestone-rich soil, gives the wine a distinctive minerality.
The harvest of Pinot Noir grapes follows a careful process that involves scrupulous post-harvest selection and pressing. The winemaking process takes place with cold maceration for a week and fermentation with indigenous yeasts in tanks. Malolactic fermentations are delayed until the summer months to preserve the fresh, fruity characteristics of the wine. The refinement takes place in French oak barrels, of which 30% are new, for 18 months, following techniques that avoid clarification and filtration.
The color of the wine is a lively ruby red. On the nose, it expresses a mineral and rich bouquet with hints of black berry fruit and spices, enriched by the freshness of red fruits and wild strawberries. In the mouth, the wine reveals itself with a long and silky finish, showing a refined elegance typical of this microclimate.
It is ideal in combination with game dishes such as duck, goose and game birds, as well as red and white meats. Its structure and complexity blend perfectly with the richness and textures of these foods, making every taste a memorable experience.
