Description
The Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Amoureuses from Domaine de la Pousse d'Or is a fine example of Burgundian winemaking mastery. The vineyards are cultivated with an approach close to organic farming, they grow on predominantly calcareous marl. This Pinot Noir is the result of a scrupulous selection, aimed at expressing the quality and aging potential of the wine.
The vinification of Les Amoureuses involves cold maceration and fermentation with indigenous yeasts, followed by aging for 15 months in oak barrels, 30% of which are new. This process guarantees the delicate integration of the wood with the fruit, maintaining the freshness and aromatic complexity of the wine.
At sight it has an intense and bright ruby red color, with violet reflections. On the nose, the wine is distinctly intense, evoking the distinctive aromaticity of the terroir. Aromas of rose petals and violets open up, enriched by spicy hints and small red fruits such as wild strawberries and blackberries. These aromas intertwine to create a complex and inviting bouquet. In the mouth, the aromatic complexity is confirmed, with the spices and fruit harmonizing in a dense and deeply velvety taste. The tannins are ripe and silky, contributing to a long and memorable finish.
This wine pairs wonderfully with refined dishes based on white meat or feathered game, enhancing the delicate flavors of the food with its complex structure and rich aromatic bouquet. An ideal pairing could be with a roast pheasant or with traditional lightly spiced game dishes.
