Description
Gilbert Picq's Chablis Premier Cru Vosgros is produced in the homonymous area of France, the Chablis, north of Burgundy.
It is made up of 100% Chardonnay grapes, which in this area find one of the noblest varietal expressions. It comes from a Premier Cru where vines planted in the 60s on soils rich in slate and limestone. The vinification takes place naturally, using indigenous yeasts, in stainless steel tanks to preserve the typical character and make this wine a pure expression of a terroir.
At sight it is straw yellow. Its scent follows the mineral footprint of the soil, reminiscent of the flint stone, set against a background of citrus and lemongrass, apple and aromatic herbs. In the mouth it is balanced and has a precious interweaving of flavor and freshness.
Perfect if combined with a very fresh fish carpaccio. Also suitable to accompany all dishes based on molluscs or crustaceans.
