Description

Joseph Drouhin's Chablis is a white wine produced in the northernmost region of Burgundy. This Chardonnay best expresses the characteristics of the calcareous soil, rich in small marine fossils, which gives Chablis wines a unique freshness and minerality. In the 1960s, Robert Drouhin was among the first to recognize the potential of this terroir, helping to revitalize an abandoned vineyard and enhance the typical wines of this region.

The grapes used come partly from the Drouhin family's estates and partly from selected partner suppliers. The harvest can be done manually or mechanically, with a slow pressing of the whole bunches in a pneumatic press. After clarification, the musts ferment in stainless steel tanks and the refinement lasts from 7 to 10 months.

It has a very pale gold color with green reflections. On the nose it offers fresh aromas of citrus fruits such as lemon and grapefruit, accompanied by delicate notes of fern and coriander. In the mouth it is dry and fruity, with a pleasant minerality and a nice length, which makes the tasting fresh and inviting.

Perfect to pair with seafood, oysters, grilled fish and fresh cheeses.
