Description
Louis Jadot's Chablis Fourchaume comes from a Premier Cru vineyard in the northern part of Burgundy, halfway between Dijon and Paris. The continental climate and the calcareous marl soils give the wines of Chablis their unique character.
Part of the juice ferments in 406 liter oak barrels produced by the Cadus cooperative, while the other part is vinified and aged in stainless steel tanks. The average age is 13-15 months of aging on its fine yeasts before bottling.
Straw yellow in colour, it expresses a refined aromatic complexity on the nose, with predominant notes of citrus fruits, white flowers and hints of minerality that evoke flint. These sensations are enriched on the palate, where the characteristic freshness and acidity blend with a balanced structure. The persistence of mineral and fruity flavors leads to a long, clean finish.
Ideal with fish dishes, seafood and delicate cheeses, it offers a taste experience that balances richness and freshness.
