Description
The Cerasuolo di Vittoria Classico of the Fondo Filara line of Nicosia was born in vineyards located on the western side of Etna.
It is produced with Nero d'Avola and Frappato grapes, harvested entirely by hand in the second half of September. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 24-26 ° C for 10-15 days. After malolactic fermentation, the wine ages in steel, in French oak barrels for 5-6 months and for another 6 months in glass, before being released on the market.
This Cerasuolo di Vittoria Classico has a cherry red color. The nose opens with a rich and intense bouquet of cherry and berries, enriched with elegant floral scents. On the palate it is warm and balanced, with velvety tannins.
Perfect to accompany grilled red meats and game, it is ideal in combination with the caponata of aubergines and medium and long aged cheeses typical of the Sicilian tradition such as the Caciocavallo Ragusano DOP.
