Description
Codorníu's Cava Brut Rosé Anna is produced with a blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, coming from the vineyards of Lleida, one of the most continental areas of the DO Cava.
The harvest takes place around mid-August, at night, to keep the grapes as fresh as possible and prevent oxidation. For Chardonnay, after destemming and pressing, the must ferments at controlled temperatures. For Pinot Noir, the must remains in contact with the skins for 3-4 hours to acquire its pink color and then fermentation begins with selected yeasts. After fermentation and clarification, the wines are assembled and bottled to undergo a second fermentation in the cellar, maturing on the yeasts for at least 12 months.
Visually, it presents a delicate cherry red color and fine and persistent bubbles. It offers the nose aromas of red fruits such as strawberries and cherries, enriched with notes of berries and a light presence of green apple. On the palate, it is elegant and light, well balanced between acidity and sweetness with a refreshing finish.
This sparkling wine is ideal for aperitifs and occasional toasts.
