Description
The union of indigenous grapes of Catalonia, Macabeo, Parellada and Xarel-lo, coming from a large number of vineyards in the region gives rise to the Brut Reserva of Segura Viudas, a balanced and complex Cava.
The must obtained by pressing the whole bunches is left to settle for 24 hours, then fermentation with selected yeasts is started. After second fermentation in bottle, according the Metodo Classico, the sparkling wine remains to age for at least 15 months on its own yeasts.
Straw yellow in colour, it sports an elegant and persistent mousse. The sense of smell is played on aromas of white-fleshed fruit, citrus and tropical fruit which are joined by floral hints. In the mouth it is a perfect synthesis of fruit, freshness and complexity.
Valuable aperitif, it is the faithful companion of clams and seafood. It goes very well with Brie cheese.
