Description
Quintaluna is a wine that comes from the pre-phylloxera vineyard of Nieva, with plants resting in sandy soil surrounded by pine forests. This Verdejo shows the maximum expression and freshness of the variety, reflecting a terroir with centuries of winemaking history.
The harvest is carried out manually in boxes, with a light pressing of the bunches after selection. Fermentation takes place in small stainless steel tanks with native yeasts. The wine ages on its lees for nine months in stainless steel, foudre and barrique, before being clarified and bottled.
On the nose, Quintaluna presents lively notes of white fruit, citrus and white flowers, with mineral nuances. On the palate it is fresh and unctuous, with a pleasant acidity and a persistent finish that recalls the minerality of its terroir.
This wine pairs perfectly with fish, shellfish or fresh cheese dishes.
