Description

The wooden box contains 2 great Piedmont wines produced by the Marchesi di Barolo company.

Barolo Tradizione is produced from a selection of the best vineyards of the estate, grown in the famous crus of Cannubi, Sarmassa and Costa di Rose, in the municipal area of Barolo.

At the end of the classic vinification with maceration on the skins, the wine ages first in French oak barriques and then for 36 months in large Slavonian oak barrels.

Garnet red in colour, it gives off a bouquet with delicate spicy aromas, aromas of dried rose petals, red fruits, notes of undergrowth. The sip is harmonious and elegant, with very fine tannins and remarkable persistence. To be combined with beef stew, braised meat or game.

Barbaresco Tradizione is produced from Nebbiolo grapes, which are fermented with maceration that takes place at a controlled temperature. The wine is then decanted into vitrified concrete vats, where the malolactic fermentation takes place. Finally, it ages for at least 9 months in oak barrels of different capacities.

Garnet red in colour with ruby reflections. The scent is intense, persistent, with a clear hint of fruit, dog rose and spices. The flavour is full-bodied, but, at the same time, harmonious and balanced, with sweet tannins, never too evident. It goes well with tasty first courses, pasta with ragout, agnolotti, red meats, roasts, stews and medium-aged hard cheeses.
