Description
Villa di Capezzana is a red wine from the historic area of Carmignano, produced with a blend of Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon. This label represents the experience and tradition of the Capezzana winery, one of the oldest in the Tuscany region, known for the quality of its wines and its dedication to sustainable viticulture.
The vinification takes place in steel tanks, with a 7-day alcoholic fermentation followed by a 13-day maceration on the skins, at controlled temperatures of 26-28°C. The malolactic fermentation takes place in French wood tonneaux and the elevation continues for at least 12 months. The wine completes its refinement in the bottle for another 12 months, ensuring an optimal evolution of its aromas and flavors.
In the glass it presents an intense ruby red color. On the nose it releases an elegant bouquet of black cherry, raspberry and ripe fruit, with light nuances of sweet licorice. On the palate it is soft and enveloping, with velvety and well-integrated tannins. The acidity present is balanced by the tannic richness, offering a long and persistent finish.
It pairs beautifully with all meats, both roasted and grilled, as well as mature cheeses.
