Description

Carmignano Terre a Mano by Fattoria di Bacchereto is a structured red wine produced in Tuscany, composed of a blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Canaiolo. The vineyards, with a surface area of 8 hectares, are located on soils derived from marly limestone of the alberese type, clayey schist and sandstone, and have an average age of 30 years.

The vinification involves destemming, maceration and alcoholic fermentation for 15 days in glass-lined concrete vats, followed by malolactic fermentation. The aging takes place in 350-liter Allier oak tonneaux on the fine lees for 26 months, followed by at least 6 months in the bottle, giving the wine considerable complexity and structure.

Carmignano stands out for its power and concentration, initially austere but with great aging potential. Over time, it reveals the great elegance and beauty of Sangiovese, resulting in a structured, voluminous and assertive wine.

This wine pairs perfectly with a grilled Florentine steak.
