Description
The Carignano del Sulcis Terre Brune of Cantina Santadi was born in the vineyards of the lower Sulcis, in Sardinia.
It is mainly produced with Carignano del Sulcis and Bovaleddu grapes, harvested entirely by hand between the second half of September and the first half of October. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature for about 15 days. Subsequently the wine matures in barrique and in French oak barrels for a maximum of 16-18 months and refines for another 12 months in the bottle before being placed on the market.
Torri Brune is a wine with an intense ruby red color, with elegant garnet reflections. The scent is elegantly fruity, with hints of plums and blueberries, enriched with spicy notes of laurel, juniper, tobacco and chocolate. On the palate it is rich, warm and harmonious.
Ideal as an accompaniment to roasts and game, it is perfect in combination with aged cheeses.
