Description
The Carignano del Sulcis Riserva Rocca Rubia of Cantina Santadi was born in the vineyards of the lower Sulcis, in Sardinia.
It is produced exclusively from Carignano del Sulcis grapes harvested and selected entirely by hand between the second half of September and the first half of October. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 25 - 28 ° C for about 12 - 14 days. Subsequently the wine is aged for about 10 - 12 months in French oak barrels.
Rocca Rubia is a wine with a deep ruby red color, almost impenetrable. The perfume gives intense fruity notes of blackberries, blueberries, myrtle, vanilla, leather and licorice. On the palate it is broad and velvety, with a great structure and aromatic persistence.
Ideal to accompany appetizers based on cold cuts and salami, it is perfect when paired with succulent dishes of red meat, game and mushrooms.
