Description
Santadi's Carignano del Sulcis Grotta Rossa was born in the vineyards of the lower Sulcis, in Sardinia.
It is produced exclusively with Carignano grapes, harvested and selected entirely by hand between the second half of September and the first half of October. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of 25-30 °C. The wine is then aged in concrete tanks before being bottled.
Grotta Rossa is an intense ruby red wine. The nose opens with rich fruity notes, enriched with hints of liquorice. On the palate it is elegant and has a pleasant volume.
It is an ideal accompaniment to first courses with meat sauce and a perfect match for second courses with red meat and game.
