Description
Buio is a Carignano del Sulcis signed by Mesa, a winery located near the Sardinian municipality of Iglesias.
It consists of pure Carignano grapes, harvested from vineyards defined by a sandy and clayey soil. The harvest takes place manually, while the alcoholic fermentation of the must takes place in steel and cement tanks, with a short duration.
As the name already suggests, Buio is characterized by a dark, dense, impenetrable colour. The nose reveals an equally dark fruity texture, with notes of flowers and spices. The taste is soft and has a discreet, well-managed tannins.
To be combined with a beef escalope.
