Description
The Ghirada Elisi red wine by Francesco Cadinu was born in Sardinia, from old vineyards located in the Mamoiada area, in the province of Nuoro.
The grapes are harvested at the end of September and vinified with spontaneous fermentation without temperature control for 15-20 days in small vats. The wine obtained then ages in wooden barrels for 12-15 months and in the bottle for 6 months.
Intense ruby red in color, the nose is expressed with aromas of ripe red fruit and is enriched with spicy and balsamic notes. The sip is soft and powerful, with well integrated tannins and a persistent finish.
Ideal in combination with red meats and game as well as aged cheeses.
