Description
Francesco Cadinu's Ghirada Fittiloghe red wine was born in Sardinia, from old vineyards located in the Mamoiada area, in the province of Nuoro. The wine takes its name from the vineyard and means "place of vines".
The grapes are harvested at the end of September and vinified with spontaneous fermentation without temperature control for 15-20 days in small vats. The wine obtained then ages in wooden barrels for 12 months and in the bottle for 6 months.
Intense ruby red in color, the nose is expressed with aromas of ripe black and red fruits and is enriched by spicy notes. The sip is soft and powerful, with well integrated tannins and a persistent finish.
Ideal in combination with red meats and game as well as aged cheeses.
