Description

Pala is a family business that has been involved in viticulture for three generations. The winery was born in the 1950s with the original nucleus of Serdiana, and then enlarged and expanded to reach the current eight estates all located in particularly suitable areas. The philosophy of the winery is oriented to the production of quality wines with a typically territorial character, made with the vines historically present on the island.

Cannonau Riserva is made with a selection of grapes from 45-year-old vines grown in Is Crabilis in Serdiana, on soils made up of limestone and sands, very rich in skeleton. The harvest takes place manually during the early hours of the morning, in order to prune fresh grapes in the cellar without the risk of oxidation. Fermentation takes place with a maceration on the skins for about ten days. This is followed by an aging of 12 months in French oak barrels of 30 hectoliters and 3 months in steel tanks.

It is a Cannonau with a classic and mature face, which has an intense ruby red color. The nose is rich, with beautiful notes of red fruit, spices and medicinal herbs. The sip has a fine tannic texture, is broad and satisfying, harmonious and persistent.

To combine with roasts, grilled meats.
