Description

This Cannonau di Sardegna from Cantina Santadi belongs to the Ondas line and is born in the vineyards of the lower Sulcis, in Sardinia.

It is produced 90% from Cannonau grapes and the remaining 10% from Carignano grapes, harvested and selected entirely by hand at the end of September. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 22 - 24 ° C for about 12-14 days. Subsequently the wine is aged in second passage barriques for a period of 6 months and for a further 6 months in the bottle.

Intense ruby red color with garnet hues, the nose reveals hints of Mediterranean herbs, blueberries and ripe blackberries as well as notes of sweet spices, tobacco and chocolate. The taste is warm and soft, with sweet tannins and a good persistence.

Ideal as an accompaniment to roasted red meats and game, it is perfect in combination with grilled fish, meat and seasonal vegetables.
