Description
The Cannonau di Sardegna Medeus is a tribute to Sardinian viticulture, with its vineyards located on warm and sandy soils, not far from the sea, and caressed by the Grecale winds, thus benefiting from an ideal microclimate that contributes to the optimal ripening of the grapes.
The harvest, strictly manual, preserves the integrity and quality of the grapes. A 15-day maceration follows, with fermentation at a controlled temperature that oscillates between 18 and 28°C, thus allowing the full expression of the varietal characteristics. After malolactic fermentation, it matures for several months in stainless steel tanks.
It presents itself to the eye with a brilliant ruby red color. On the nose there are intense aromas of red fruit jam and delicate balsamic notes, which evoke the Mediterranean scrub. In the mouth, the wine is fresh, savory, with light but well-structured, soft and enveloping tannins.
It is perfect with roasts, red meats and mature cheeses.
