Description

Bantu is a Cannonau of Sardinia produced from the selection of the best grapes of the municipal and neighboring territory of Jerzu, from vineyards of about 20 years planted on soils of a calcareous-schistose nature with south-west exposure, located at an altitude of about 400 meters above sea level.

The grape harvest is scheduled for mid-September, when the optimal balance between acids and sugars is reached. Following the crushing and destemming, the must macerates for 8 days in steel. After fermentation, the wine matures for 10 months in steel and for 6 months in oak barrels of 200 hectoliters in order to preserve the freshness of the fruit.

The color is ruby red with purple hues. The nose is centered on fresh floral aromas reminiscent of geranium and cyclamen, interspersed with fruity hints of cherry, pomegranate and plum, on a slightly herbaceous and spicy background. The taste is warm, savory and harmonious, rightly tannic.

Perfect for enhancing first courses and roast meats typical of the Sardinian gastronomic tradition, it is an excellent companion to cured meats and land appetizers.
