Description
San Greg is a wine produced in the highest hills of Irpinia, reaching almost 700 meters above sea level. The vineyards, of different ages, are located on marly-limestone and marly-arenaceous soils, in sunny and windy hills.
The Aglianico grapes, harvested scrupulously by hand, are taken to the cellar and placed directly in the press, thus obtaining the noblest part of the juice. Fermentation takes place in steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 16-18°C, followed by maturation for 4 months in steel. Thanks to the collaboration of over 8 years with Valerie Lavigne, Consultant Oenologist, an elegant and highly drinkable style has been developed, maintaining consistency over time.
San Greg has a pale and brilliant pink color. Delicate aromas of white flowers, fresh red fruits and light citrus notes emerge on the nose. In the mouth it is fresh and lively, with a good structure and a harmonious and persistent finish.
Perfect as an aperitif, San Greg pairs beautifully with light appetizers, fish dishes and fresh salads. A versatile choice that enhances convivial moments.
