Description
Aglianico Di Meo represents an expression of excellence of one of the most noble and historic vines of Southern Italy. The vineyards from which it originates extend in the municipalities of Montemarano and Mirabella Eclano, in the province of Avellino, on sandy and clayey soils.
The harvest takes place manually in small boxes between the end of October and the beginning of November. Fermentation takes place, with maceration on the skins, at a temperature of 26°C for 15-20 days. After malolactic fermentation, the wine matures for 12 months in French oak barriques and then stays for another 12 months in the bottle.
It appears in the glass with a brilliant ruby red color. Its bouquet is a symphony of fruity aromas such as sour cherry and myrtle, which are intertwined with aromatic herbs and delicate notes of violet. On the palate it reveals a full-bodied wine, animated by lively tannin and a pleasant flavor that invites you to the next sip.
It pairs beautifully with first courses with meat sauce, legume and cereal soups, but can also accompany mixed boiled meats very well.
