Description
Falanghina di Caggiano is a 100% Campanian white wine from Falanghina grapes that grow in the municipality of Torrecuso (BN). The vines are located on hilly terrain at 600 meters above sea level on a calcareous clayey soil.
The grapes are harvested by hand during the second half of October. Once pressed, the must is fermented in steel vats at low temperatures. This is followed by a refinement in steel and then in the bottle for a period of 3 months.
The wine has an intense straw yellow color. In the mouth the aromas are reminiscent of exotic fruits such as pineapple and banana and apple and yellow flowers. The taste is rich, balanced by a good freshness.
The wine goes well with grilled fish, shellfish and white meat dishes, but also with legume soups.
