Description
Rue Ink is a pure Aglianico obtained from grapes rich in minerals and nutrients that are collected in the volcanic area of Paternopoli, in the Campania wine center of Irpinia. Rue is a term that dates back to the period of French domination and was attributed to the streets of Paternopoli while the word ink identifies its color in an unmistakable way.
After harvesting the grapes, in early November, the must undergoes a 10-day maceration and fermentation with selected yeasts. Once the malolactic fermentation is over, the wine stays in steel and for a short period in the bottle.
It appears at the sight of a purple-red color similar to ink. Intense and fragrant sensations of wild berries that seduce the nose hover on the nose. In the mouth it has a dry and pleasantly tannic look that is placed in a context of great balance and gustatory softness.
Excellent in the company of first courses with meat sauce and second courses of red meat, it goes well with game and aged cheeses.
