Description
Roccaleoni di Villa Matilde is a 100% Aglianico produced in the territory of Torrecuso and Foglianise (BN). The vineyards are located at an altitude of 400 m asl and the grape harvest takes place towards the end of October.
After destemming, pressing and cold maceration of the marc, the grapes ferment at 26 ° C for about 20 days. The racking and the completion of the malolactic fermentation follows. The refinement takes place in stainless steel, with a passage in traditional cask and then in the bottle for about 3 months.
In the glass the wine is bright red with violet reflections. Its intense and persistent aromas recall ripe red fruit and blackberries, with hints of spices. Its taste is warm and full.
This full-bodied wine goes well with red meats and savory first courses with meat sauces.
