California AVA Merlot 2022 Robert Mondavi Private Selection

This Merlot from Robert Mondavi's Private Selection line comes from famous vineyards on the Central Coast, in California, where the cool climate slows down the ripening process of the grapes, resulting in greater aromatic richness.

100% Merlot wine. After a rigorous selection of the grapes, the must ferments in steel at a controlled temperature. Subsequently the wine spends a period of aging in wood in which it has the opportunity to refine its organoleptic characteristics.

Very concentrated ruby red in colour, it opens on the nose with notes of ripe red cherry, Asian plum and cranberry with notes of black olives, tea leaf, sweet spices, cane sugar. Flavors of ripe dark cherry and plum follow with sweet brown sugar, English toffee and mocha. The finish is soft and persistent. The finish is characterized by notable persistence.

It is perfect in the company of rotisserie chicken, meat ravioli, grilled salmon and herbed Boursin cheese.
