Description
Librandi's Calabria Rosso Gravello was born in the homonymous vineyard of the Archdiaconate Estate in Strongoli.
It is produced with Gaglioppo and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, harvested only by hand during the first ten days of October. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature for 15 days. Subsequently the wine ages in Allier barriques for 12 months and for another 6 months in the bottle before being placed on the market.
It is characterized by an intense ruby red color with garnet reflections. The nose opens with intense aromas of red fruits, cherries and currants, enriched by pleasant sweet notes of dried figs and chocolate. On the palate it is dry, pleasantly soft and warm, with a fruity aftertaste.
Perfect to accompany dishes based on meat sauce and game, it is ideal in combination with stews, roasts and aged cheeses.
