Description
The Cadillac Château Haut Mouleyre is produced in Bordeaux, more precisely in the village of Escoussans, located in the Entre-Deux-Mers wine region, on the right bank of the Garonne. This area benefits from a clay-limestone and clay-sandy soil, with a subsoil of alluvial colluvium and Pliocene molasse, thus offering a privileged position with maximum exposure to sunlight and good soil drainage.
Produced exclusively from old Sémillon vines, the harvest is manual with subsequent selection of the grapes. Aging takes place entirely in French oak barrels for 9 months, half new and half one year old, giving the wine a unique aromatic richness.
This wine shows a golden yellow color with silvery nuances. On the nose it is fine and complex, with a floral-spicy bouquet that includes aromas of pineapple, citrus peel, white flowers and honey. In the mouth it is ample, balanced and persistent, with notes of almonds, dried apricots and candied orange, thus expressing the old vineyard in a modern and fresh sweet wine.
Ideally paired with quail with grapes, poultry with cream and orange, a wok of spiced honey prawns, blue cheeses or fruity desserts, this wine is an excellent choice to accompany a diverse range of dishes, enhancing each flavor with its complexity and freshness .
