Description
Podere Brizio's Brunello di Montalcino is born on the hills (330–350 meters above sea level) around the famous village of Montalcino. The company labels depict the Parpagliola, a 10 quattrini silver coin minted in 1556, symbol of the resistance of the republic of Siena.
It is produced exclusively with Sangiovese grapes that are vinified with spontaneous fermentation. Aging takes place in large French oak barrels for about 38 months and ends with a stay in the bottle for at least 6 months.
The wine is presented in the glass with a ruby red colour with garnet reflections. The nose reveals hints of berries, blueberry, black currant, licorice, balsamic notes. The taste is full and structured, with excellent acidity and dense tannins.
Perfect to accompany red meats and game both stewed, roasted and grilled.
