Description
Brunello Filo di Seta is produced by Castello del Romitorio, the winery created in the 1980s by the famous Transavantgarde artist Sandro Chia. The farm is located west of Montalcino, immersed in a natural context rich in woods and shrubs of the Mediterranean scrub.
It comes from vines cultivated at 350 meters above sea level in an area with a particularly cool climate and significant temperature variations. After a short cold maceration, the grapes are fermented with maceration on the skins for three weeks. The Brunello ages for 30 months in oak barrels and is refined for 12 months in the bottle.
Refined and elegant, it has a ruby color, with delicate floral aromas, aromas of medicinal herbs, raspberry, morello cherry and spices. Smooth and harmonious, it has velvety tannins and a precious aromatic facet.
To be combined with pici with meat sauce, spit-roasted pigeon, small roast game.
