Description

Brunello di Montalcino Vigna I Poggi is a highly prestigious single-vineyard red wine, produced in Tuscany. Coming from Sangiovese grapes grown on highly calcareous soils rich in nutritional elements, this wine is the result of 100% organic viticulture. The "I Poggi" vineyard is recognized for its incredible potential and represents one of the best expressions of the Poggio Antico terroir.

The grapes are vinified separately in tulip-shaped concrete tanks, where alcoholic and malolactic fermentation take place simultaneously with maceration, at temperatures below 25°C for approximately 15 days. The extraction of the phenolic compounds is delicate, with punching down followed by pumping over. The refinement takes place for 30 months in Austrian barrels, followed by assembly and further refinement in cement for 6 months.

This wine has a complex aromatic profile, characterized by notes of berries, spices and mineral touches. On the palate, Brunello di Montalcino Vigna I Poggi offers a full body, a well-defined tannic structure and balanced acidity, with a long and persistent finish.

Perfect in combination with red meat dishes, roasts and mature cheeses.
