Description
Brunello Vallocchio comes from a selection of Sangiovese grapes from the 5 oldest vineyards of the Fanti estate, which is located near Castelnuovo dell'Abate, on the southern slope of the Montalcino hill. The property extends over 260 hectares, fifty of which are used for vineyards, in an area with a mild and temperate climate, characterized by soils rich in galestro and alberese rocks, particularly suitable for the cultivation of Sangiovese.
The grapes are fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. The wine matures for a period of 24 months, half in tonneaux and half in oak barrels and completes the refinement with 18 months in the bottle.
Intense ruby red in colour, it expresses a bouquet of blood orange, tobacco and walnut. The sip is elegant and intense, full and round, with a persistent finish.
To be combined with sliced beef, grilled tenderloin, roasted game.
