Description

The Brunello di Montalcino from Tenuta di Collosorbo is produced exclusively from Sangiovese grapes selected from the company's best vineyards, located in an area of Tuscany ideal for growing this variety.

The grapes are harvested manually in small baskets. The vinification involves a soft pressing and destemming followed by an alcoholic fermentation at a controlled temperature, with frequent pumping over. The wine remains in contact with the skins for a long time, until the optimal moment of racking is precisely determined. The refinement takes place in Slavonian and French oak barrels for about 3 years, followed by at least 4 months in the bottle.

It presents intense aromas of ripe red fruit, sweet spices and light balsamic notes. On the palate it is structured and complex, with well-integrated tannins and a pleasant acidity that gives balance and freshness. The finish is long and persistent, with hints of cherry and licorice.

This red wine pairs perfectly with roast meat dishes, game and mature cheeses.
