Description
The Brunello di Montalcino Riserva by Poggio Landi comes from a selection of the best Sangiovese grapes of the estate, from vineyards located at an altitude between 180 and 500 meters above sea level.
The bunches are harvested by hand when the perfect degree of ripeness is reached. The grapes undergo a soft pressing-destemming. The fermentation takes place for 2 weeks, after which the wine is transferred to French Allier oak barrels where it ages for 48 months and then in the bottle where it ages for at least 6 months.
In the glass it has a garnet red color. On the nose it releases a complex bouquet, with hints of violets, currants, blueberries that mix with leather and licorice notes. In the mouth it is intense and elegant, with a finish of excellent persistence.
It goes very well with aged cheeses and red meats and game.
