Description

A life would not be enough to discover and fully appreciate Brunello di Montalcino Poggio di Sotto: a varied, extremely complex wine, a real wine treasure. It comes from vineyards located in Castelnuovo dell'Abate, where the arid and rocky terrain forces the vine to seek deeper nourishment.

The harvest takes place in September, picking only the best grapes, while fermenting spontaneously in wooden vats; then it ages for 42 months in Slavonian oak barrels.

Intense ruby red coloured wine, it presents on the nose with notes of aromatic herbs, cedar wood, raisins, ginger and mint. Tasting this wine is a journey that offers the palate landscapes reminiscent of plum, tobacco and chocolate. Its style is majestic, with elegant and silky tannins.

He masterfully marries a Florentine steak, as well as grilled red meats. Try it with fillet and truffle dishes. It is the ideal wine to forget in the cellar and remember it after years: its ageing potential is remarkable.
