Solid and centered it offers hints of wet geraniums, hot asphalt, broken leaves, chopped ginger and rose hips. The impressive sensory invoice of the background gives notes of pressed orange blossom, white pepper and juniper berries. Medium-full body, slightly rigid tannins at the moment that will relax over time and a tense and vibrant finish that makes the infinite reach its main weapon. Better from 2022.

Description

The Brunello di Montalcino Poggio alle Mura di Banfi is born in vineyards located between the Orcia and Ombrone rivers, on the southern slope of the municipality of Montalcino, a territory unique in the world for tradition and wine culture.

It is produced exclusively with Sangiovese grapes. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 27-29 ° C for about 12 days. Subsequently the wine is aged in barrique for 2 years and for a further 12 months in the bottle.

It is characterized by a mauve red color. The nose opens with a complex bouquet, with elegant aromas of plum and cherry, enriched with pleasant hints of blackberries and raspberry and nuances of chocolate, vanilla and licorice. On the palate it is soft and tonic, with sweet and gentle tannins.

Perfect to accompany red meats, game and aged cheeses, it is ideal as a meditation wine.
